Latin Safe participates in the Brazilian Congress of Medical Physics

At the invitation of the XXIII Brazilian Congress of Medical Physics, held in the city of Porto Alegre, southern Brazil, in early September, the Latin Safe initiative was represented by the physicist Renato Dimenstein, who taught a class on dose reduction strategies in tomography.

During the lecture, the dose descriptors, the factors that affect the quality of the images and the dose of radiation were discussed and, in this way, the strategies of radiation reduction in CT, such as iterative reconstruction algorithms and dose modulators, among others.

The Congress was organized by the Brazilian Association of Medical Physics (ABFM).
